During 2017, Chicago Society for Space Studies sponsored the following free public meetings to promote space exploration and to inform the public about various space projects.

2017: The Space Year in Review Program and Annual Space Party

NOTE: The library opens at Noon on Sundays.
Description: The annual CSSS year-end party includes light refreshments, free materials, and the 2017 Space Year in Review presentation given by CSSS Vice President Larry Boyle. The presentation, which starts at 1:00pm, will be followed by general discussion. The library opens at 12:00 noon and all are encouraged to arrive before the start of the presentation.

Return to Jupiter: NASA’s Juno Mission

Description: NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador and CSSS member Bill Higgins will be giving the presentation Return to Jupiter: NASA’s Juno Mission which offers insights into NASA’s Juno spacecraft and the science it will be performing as it orbits Jupiter. General discussion, including an update on March Storm, will follow the program.
