CSSS Speaker Dale Dellutri will be giving his presentation The Machines of Spaceflight: Apollo versus Now on Thu. July 25 2019 at the Geneva Lake Astrophysics and STEAM Apollo Anniversary Star Party. Dale’s presentation compares the machines of spaceflight during the Apollo era with those of today and dives into how the advances and breakthroughs in science and technology have changed the machines that we use to realize our ambitions in the high frontier: space. Included in his talk is an examination of the differences in rockets, their engines, the computers used to design and guide the rockets, and even the control rooms which monitored their flights.
