Larry Boyle

Larry Boyle served as President of the Chicago Society for Space Studies from 1989 to 2004. He is a reference Librarian at the Franklin Park Public Library and has a Library degree from Rosary College and a BS from Loyola University. He has had a life long interest in the space program and was at the Kennedy Space Center to watch the Apollo 17 launch to the Moon in 1972.

As a member of the CSSS Speakers Bureau, Mr. Boyle provides presentations in the following subject areas:

  • Unmanned probes
  • History of the space program
  • Interstellar Flight
  • Space programs of foreign nations
  • Military space programs

Mr. Boyle's hallmark presentation has been his "Space: The Year in Review" which he has been giving since 1979.
